Rihanna, es una cantante y compositora de R&B y pop nacida en Barbados.
A los 16 años de edad se mudó a Estados Unidos para comenzar una carrera musical bajo la dirección del productor Evan Rogers.
En el 2005, Rihanna lanzó su álbum debut: «Music of the Sun», el cual logró vender más de 2.2 millones de copias mundialmente dando comienzo a una meteórica carrera.
Con seis albumes de estudio Rihanna ha vendido más de 28 millones de discos y 100 millones de simples en todo el mundo, logrando colocar 10 de ellos en el puesto número uno en los Estados Unidos, 7 en Australia y Canadá, 5 en Suiza, Nueva Zelanda, y Reino Unido, 4 en Noruega, Austria y Polonia desde su primera aparición en las listas el 11 de junio de 2005, lo cual es más que cualquier otro artista durante ese lapso de tiempo.
La revista Billboard ha calificado a Rihanna como la artista número siete de la Década del 2000 y en junio de 2011 la renombrada revista Vogue nombró a la cantante Woman Of The Year (Mujer Del Año). En julio de 2011 Rihanna se convirtió en la mujer con más «Likes» en la red social Facebook con 43 millones de «Likes».
La cantante ha recibido importantes premios en la industria de la música como los Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Brit Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, NRJ Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards, entre otros.
